When we work one-on-one with our clients we do a very good job of prescreening them to make sure that they do not have challenges we cannot help them overcome. What are the technical requirements to use this program***?
The activities that we promote heavily rely upon a LinkedIn presence. If you do not currently have a LinkedIn profile, we cannot stress enough how limited your success will be, not just in your job search, but in your career. While we will be sharing strategies on how to use the features of LinkedIn to accelerate your job search, having a profile and a basic understanding of navigation and its features will be required to achieve the level of success that this program makes possible.
We will offer private support communities on both LinkedIn and Facebook. We have found that Facebook can sometimes be a better platform for deepening relationships to a more personal level. However, you only need a LinkedIn profile. The Facebook community is an added bonus and there will be questions and answers shared exclusively there that maybe of great benefit to you.
While we refer to our weekly group calls as calls, some sessions may require visual demonstration. You will know ahead of time, and we will still make a phone-only attendance option available, we expect to be using the same software that you used to learn about the 7 Stages of Job Search, GoToWebinar.
Most of the documents that we send you Will either be in either Microsoft Word or Excel documents, compatible with 2007 through current versions, or PDF documents that you may open using Adobe Acrobat or PDF Reader or Preview on Mac OSX. Two of our tools, the Resume Builder and the Criteria Identifier, have certain features that have proven to be incompatible with versions of Microsoft office prior to 2010 in most cases, but not in all cases. While these tools are tremendously helpful, you can continue in the program without using the advanced features.
What option is to upgrade your software. Your CPA may advise you that the investment and upgraded software, as well as the investment in this package, is tax-deductible. (Check with them first.) I have seen Microsoft Office 2010 For $86, while Microsoft office 2013 is $139. The newest version, Microsoft 365, goes for about $70/year or $7/month. We cannot recommend one over the other, but I’m sure we have tech clients who have very strong opinions about which the best is.
You may also opt to see if your local library provides you with access to computers that have upgraded versions of Microsoft Office on them, or if your local, regional, State, or territory’s workforce development office offers resources to jobseekers. We have actually reached out to Microsoft ourselves to see if we can make these tools more compatible or if they have ideas as to how individual users can upgrade their software.

What if I see no improvement in my job search results or momentum?

What if I just don’t like the program?
We will not take it personally at all if you find any part of this program unappealing. We know that our tech clients have very high standards for the user interface.
